Charter Renewal (Recharter) focus of September Roundtable

At the monthly Roundtable for September (September 12, 2017 at 7pm, First Presbyterian Church in Elizabethtown) we will be having a joint session to discuss the 2018 Charter Renewal Process.

There will be a few changes from previous years and for our new friends in Marion, Washington, Nelson, and Taylor Counties we especially want to invite you to this event to learn how we operate the annual recharter in the Lincoln Trail District. We are all about making the process streamlined and easy for your team! Online or paper…we want it to be a smooth process.

We ask that the leadership in your Unit who deals with this process, as well as your Chartering Organizational Representative and Unit Treasurer come!

Pizza, chips, and drinks will be provided! We will also be highlighting the accomplishments of our Day Camp Staff, passing out Day Camp patches and ribbons, and any other accolades. We still have many who participated in the District Pinewood Derby who have not picked up their patch.

Recharter is a critical function of the District. With nearly 100 Units, we are a big place! Just more family to know…see you at Roundtable…where it is always a…GOOD TIME!

YOUTH PROTECTION COURSES Y01 AND Y02 HELD EVERY ROUNDTABLE!

Youth Protection Training is a mandatory training for all leaders in Scouting. We hold both Youth Protection Training and Venturing Youth Protection Training each month at Roundtable beginning at 6pm. Your Unit will not be able to recharter without 100% Youth Protection Trained adults.

Youth Protection Training is critical in the Boy Scouts of America. It serves as the front-line defense against verbal, physical, and emotional abuse in our organization. It also serves as an educational tool for volunteers and staff, teaching best practices.
